Basilica of Saint Apollinaire. The apse basin's mosaic dates back to the 6th century and is a depiction of a Paradise-style landscape. In the center is a large figure of Saint Apollinare, who is buried inside the Basilica. The face of Christ is in the middle of the large jeweled cross. |
