Charitable contributions help LCCS continue as a viable community service organization in Lexington County that provides quality artistic experiences for members of our community. Since our humble beginning, LCCS has accomplished the following things: creating the H. T. Lorick, Jr. Vocal Scholarship and the Sylvia E. Looney Piano Scholarship for high school students; parenting the Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra; showcasing local middle and high school choirs, vocalists, and pianists on our concerts; debuting Dr. Timothy Powell's "Wedding Mass" in South Carolina; and featuring additional renowned conductors/composers such as Dr. Larry Shackley, Joseph Martin, Pepper Choplin, Mark Hayes, Raymond Hughes and Dr. Porter Stokes. In early 2014 LCCS presented its first benefit concert where profits were donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Without generous donations from our loyal patrons over the last several years, LCCS would not have been able to accomplish all of these wonderful projects. Please consider contributing to LCCS to enable us to continue bringing Lexington County these invaluable endeavors.
All contributions made to the Lexington County Choral Society are tax deductible in accordance with our non-profit organization status under federal code 501(c)3.

Contribution/Donation Policy and Levels
As LCCS moves through its third decade of successful service to our community, the Planning Committee (our governing board) regularly conducts in-house audits of organizational effectiveness and viability for the sole purpose of sustaining LCCS’s solid governmental and financial foundation in order to help guarantee continued success for many years to come. For example, from self-evaluation the Finance Committee realized that our scholarship funds had reached a point where both were fully-funded for several years to come. To better manage this service project it was recommended that all future contributions should be deposited in the General Fund, but also designate a “maintenance” amount of 10% of the General Fund each year for the sole purpose of the perpetuation of our two scholarships. It is very important to note that by changing our contribution process in this way, both scholarship programs can continue to flourish indefinitely. LCCS will continue as it has in the past to absorb all costs for administering the scholarships, i.e. payment of advertising, mailings, printing, and adjudication. The only withdrawals from the scholarship funds will actually be the award money gifted to the recipients. The policy reads as follows:
Effective July 1, 2016, all contributions will be considered General Fund Donations. Ten percent (10%) of your General Fund Donation will be allocated to our two scholarship funds, H. T. Lorick Jr. Scholarship(voice) and Sylvia Looney Scholarship (piano), distributed equally between the two. Every donation to the Lexington County Choral Society will help insure the future of these scholarships. General Fund Contributions exclude grants, sponsorships, and fundraisers ie: Golf Tournament fees and hole sponsorships, and purchase of raffle tickets.
